News of Fan Luojia’s success spread back to the country, leading to a surge in his popularity. Moon Jue Entertainment also experienced a meteoric rise in the industry. Though it couldn’t match the likes of Yin’s Film Industry, it stood out among smaller companies, especially since they had nurtured an international film emperor.
Yin Jue sent warm congratulations to Shuai Chang. He had taken the initiative in the past to relinquish shares to Yin Haidong, which created a win-win scenario today.
“Boss Yin, my brother invites you to dinner; you wouldn’t deny me, would you?” Yin Jue said exaggeratingly.
Shuai Chang chuckled, “Of course not, President Yin, your reputation precedes you.”
Yin Jue made arrangements for a dinner at Jin Cheng Club at 9 PM. Jin Cheng Club is located in a newly built five-story building, with shopping on the first floor, entertainment on the second, dining on the third, and hotel accommodations on the fourth and fifth floors. Most clients are high-end individuals, with many obtaining membership cards to expand their social networks.
Shuai Chang had attended a few social gatherings there in the past.
After parking, Shuai Chang walked through the grand revolving door, where he found Yin Jue waiting at the corner for him. “Thank you for coming to greet me, President Yin,” Shuai Chang nodded slightly.
“How could I say it’s a labor? With Boss Yin’s presence, Jin Cheng truly shines,” Yin Jue said dramatically, glancing around as if he were genuinely dazzled.
Shuai Chang felt a twitch at his temples from the excessive flattery. He took a deep breath and said, “Lead the way, President Yin.”
Yin Jue stopped teasing him, “Boss Yin, follow me.” The two of them entered the elevator. Yin Jue pressed the ‘3’ button, “I didn’t expect Fan Luojia to have such skills; he truly lives up to being someone Boss Yin has selected.”
“Mm.” Upon hearing Yin Jue praise Fan Luojia, a smile appeared at the corner of Shuai Chang’s mouth.
The elevator stopped on the third floor, and Yin Jue stepped out first, with Shuai Chang following.
They walked past Chan Zhi Yuan and Shu Shi Zhai, stopping in front of the entrance to Feng Huang Tai.
Yin Jue opened the door and gestured for Shuai Chang to enter first.
Shuai Chang had never seen Yin Jue so polite, and he gave him a puzzled glance.
He didn’t bother being formal and stepped inside, noticing a round table already occupied by seven or eight people. Among them, a couple looked familiar; they seemed to be Bai Hua, the film emperor, and Jin Zhi, the film queen.
When the table’s occupants saw someone new enter – an unfamiliar face – no one spoke. Yin Jue followed behind and entered as if he didn’t notice the awkward atmosphere.
Beaming with a smile, he introduced Yin Haidong to everyone at the table, “This is Yin Haidong, the captain of Yin’s Film Industry!”
The moment he mentioned Yin Haidong, everyone stood up to greet him warmly.
Yin Jue introduced everyone to Yin Haidong one by one, “This is the renowned screenwriter, Miss Shen Yi, and this is the famous director, Mr. Jiang Chao, and this is…”
After making the introductions, Yin Jue pulled Yin Haidong to sit down.
He filled up glasses for himself and Yin Haidong and whispered, “Boss Yin, shall we toast?”
Shuai Chang clinked glasses with him and downed his drink in one go.
Yin Jue’s eyes lit up, “That’s the spirit!”
With Yin Jue initiating the celebration, others dropped their formalities and joined in raising their glasses. Shuai Chang welcomed the toasts, and after a few rounds of drinks, his head started to feel a bit heavy.
The others at the table were not in much better shape; they were leaning and swaying, while Shuai Chang remained sitting straight even though he was drunk.
He blinked, and a fair, delicate face leaned in closer, whispering into his ear, “President Yin, you are drunk.”
Up close, Shuai Chang’s eyes were misty, heavy with intoxication.
“I’m somewhat drunk. I should head out,” Shuai Chang replied.
The fair face smiled, “Don’t hurry, President Yin. There are rooms upstairs; let me help you to rest a bit.”
Upon hearing that, Shuai Chang slowly turned to glance at him but remained noncommittal.
The fair face took his response as consent and moved to help him stand up.
Shuai Chang cooperated and stood up; the two walked out of Feng Huang Tai.
Once in the elevator, the fair face said, “President Yin, you are so handsome.” His tone was filled with admiration.
Shuai Chang looked at his tall reflection in the elevator walls; his hair was meticulously styled, with a resolute face and clear features. Dressed in the latest black Armani fall suit, he indeed looked sharp.
As the elevator reached the fifth floor, the doors opened slowly. The fair face helped him walk to room 502, took out a key card, and opened the door.
When Shuai Chang stepped inside, the most striking feature of the room was the large bed in the center, draped in layers of soft fabric.
The fair face helped him sit down, “President Yin, my name is Lin Lin. Shall we rest here for a bit?”
Lin Lin – Bai Hua, the film emperor.
Shuai Chang frowned, displeased, “No resting.”
Lin Lin leaned closer, “Then what… do you want to do?”
Shuai Chang grabbed Lin Lin’s hand as it reached for his chest, tilting his head to indicate the television on the wall, “What are we doing? Show me.”
Lin Lin’s eyes lit up, “You want to watch…?”
“Yes.”
“We have all sorts of videos. Just wait a moment.” Lin Lin took out a black USB drive and plugged it into the TV’s USB port, turning it on to reveal a list of videos.
“President Yin, what type do you want to watch?”
Shuai Chang thought for a moment, “Something normal.”
The video started playing, and Lin Lin leaned in close to Yin Haidong, “President Yin~”
“Don’t disturb me, just watch,” Shuai Chang replied, irritated at the interruption.
Startled, Lin Lin immediately sat up straight.
The video was indeed ordinary, featuring two men going through the motions. Besides some occasional sounds from the one below, there wasn’t much excitement as the other moved.
Lin Lin was breathing heavily as a small tent quickly rose in the scene.
Shuai Chang appeared disinterested, unable to understand why Fan Luojia would be attracted to men; it seemed rather dull.
And then there was Lin Lin beside him, who could get excited watching such things; his mental world must be incredibly barren.
Shuai Chang didn’t want to waste any more time, stood up, and pushed the door open to leave.
Lin Lin, caught off guard, exclaimed, “Hey, President Yin!” Why did he leave?
But he was still standing, and it was inconvenient to chase after him, so he could only gloomily continue with the video on his own.
Shuai Chang felt extremely bored that day and, out of curiosity about what happens between men, had not refused Lin Lin going with him to the fifth floor. However, he lost interest halfway through the dull video; he would rather go home and simply sleep with Fan Luojia – just sleep.
